MaineCF’s Giving Together program lets donors with advised funds at the community foundation learn about current needs in real time and search grant proposals that match their interest areas.
Every year MaineCF receives more than 1,000 proposals through our 20-plus competitive grant programs. Our online portal, Giving Together, allows donors to search for proposals by geography, interest area, or any combination. You’ll be able to read about the scope of the project, see its full budget, and may choose to fully fund, partially fund, or fund a grant proposal for more than the organization requested.
Participating in Giving Together has multiple benefits. It provides more money to nonprofit organizations and lets you learn more about what is happening across the state. Through this program you can start building your own connections with organizations that do work that matches your passions.
In 2021, 197 proposals were funded for a total of $1.6 million, and in 2020, 64 proposals were funded for a total of $361,000.
