Additional MaineCF Initiatives

  • County & Regional Program: MaineCF’s County and Regional Program provides on-the-ground local leadership for community foundation activities. At the heart of the program are 14 county and regional committees composed of community members committed to their counties, nonprofits that serve them and the importance of philanthropy.
  • Maine Women's Fund: The Maine Women’s Fund (MWF) works to transform the lives of women and girls in Maine. Funding areas have included education, financial skills and literacy, healthcare, leadership, personal safety and policy. More recently, MWF focused on making pivotal systems and social change aimed at creating greater gender equity, especially for Black, Indigenous and other women of color.
  • Lewiston-Auburn Area Response Fund: MaineCF's Lewiston-Auburn Area Response Fund addresses current and emerging needs associated with the tragic shootings that took place on October 25, 2023. With MaineCF as a conduit, 100% of every dollar donated was allocated to people impacted and the organizations that are guiding Lewiston-Auburn through the process of healing.
