MaineCF welcomes 27 new volunteer advisors to its county and regional committees.
MaineCF’s county and regional committees comprise community members who live or work in the area and serve as local ambassadors for the foundation, sharing their knowledge and providing on-the-ground, local leadership for the foundation. There are 14 county and regional committees that serve all 16 Maine counties.
“The foundation is fortunate to add 27 new volunteers to its county and regional committees,” said Laura Reed, director of resources and community engagement. “These local leaders share local knowledge to inform MaineCF’s Community Building grant program and give voice to our communities’ aspirations and challenges as we work to build a better Maine.”
These volunteer advisors review grant proposals submitted through MaineCF’s Community Building Grant Program and recommend grant awards from each county or regional fund. Community Building supports a broad range of projects and organizations across the state, including arts, education, environment, economic development and human services.
