MaineCF has awarded $153,000 to 12 nonprofit organizations that promote access to the outdoors through its Conservation for All grant program. Donors with advised funds at MaineCF made seven additional grants totaling $34,400.
Conservation for All invests in organizations and projects that build strong connections between people in Maine and its land and water. These projects facilitate access to and use of land and water for underserved populations.
Grantees include:
- Intercultural Community Center, Westbrook, to expand accessibility for environmental education
- Land Peace Foundation, Bangor, to expand environmental- and climate change-focused programs
- Southern Maine Conservation Collaborative, Portland, for conservation that addresses social equity, climate change, organizational efficiency, and collective impact.
