Dear Friends,
Spring has arrived with promises of a fresh start as we shake off winter and keep watch for first buds and returning birds.
It's also a time of growth at MaineCF. The community foundation's deep roots have sustained us for 40 years, but we'll soon sow new seeds to help grow a stronger Maine.
First, though, we need to do a little digging and ask a lot of questions:
- What are Maine's biggest challenges?
- How can we address perennial problems?
- Where can MaineCF make a difference?
The answers, we hope, will come from you.
In the coming months, our staff will travel the state to host community conversations, conduct focus groups, interviews, and surveys. We'll assess feedback from our new donor survey and conduct a comprehensive review of issues that Maine people face today.
These findings will guide our work as we put our shared values into action and boldly invest in Maine's future.
New partnerships, across sectors, also will be critical as we gain momentum toward change and progress. We can't build a better Maine alone.
I hope we can connect soon to talk about what matters most to you.
