"Bait Shop," by John Bisignano
Maine Coastal Islands Art Gallery in Rockland will feature the art of John Bisignano beginning with an opening 4:30-6:30 p.m., Friday, September 16.
Before his death in 2021, Bisignano set up the John Bisignano and Bettina Swirkal Memorial Scholarship Fund at MaineCF to benefit Maine College of Art Students. Sales of his art will go toward this scholarship.
Bisignano used his art to communicate the abundant beauty and forms of nature, according to the gallery’s description of the show. His work brings a unique perspective of the midcoast’s beauty through art that evokes a sense of surprise and wonderment.
