Grant Size: up to $5,000
Application Deadline: January 15
Project Grants
The York County Children's Aid Society Fund (YCCA) will award grants to improve and increase direct services to neglected, exposed, wayward and indigent children in York County. Of particular interest are smaller programs or special services, which would not be possible without private support.
Capacity-Building Grants
For organizations with annual budgets of less than $250,000, the YCCA Fund will provide grant support for activities that strengthen the impact of youth organizations by improving their organizational capacity and prospects for long-term sustainability. Successful applicants should be able to describe how enhancing their organizational capacity will ultimately benefit the communities they serve. (See How to Apply below) Capacity building projects may include the following activities:
- Improved governance and leadership
- Improved staff skills
- Creation and implementation of outcomes-based strategic and business plans
- Improved services and programs
- Improved financial management
- Expanded strategic assets, including financial and human resources such as staff and volunteers
Project Evaluation
All grant recipients will be required to submit a Project Evaluation Report approximately ten months after receiving payment of the grant. For guidance on how to create an evaluation plan for your project, we have provided a resource guide, Developing a Project Evaluation Plan, that you may find helpful in preparing your proposal.
