York County Fund

The York County Fund was established in 2007. Starting in 2008, the York County Committee of the Maine Community Foundation will be making grants from the fund through the Community Building Grant Program. This grant program has two deadlines: January 15 and May 15.


The York County Committee is made up of local community leaders who partner with the foundation to build charitable resources to serve the region.


Recent grants from the York County Fund
  • Stone Soup Food Pantry, Biddeford, to enhance cooperative hunger prevention efforts among the network of food pantries and meal programs in the region
  • Laudholm Trust, Wells, for introductory and ongoing GIS training for staff in area organizations
  • Camp Laughing Loon, East Waterboro, to provide financial for camperships.
