You can use many different kinds of assets to create a charitable fund or to make a gift to an existing fund at the Maine Community Foundation.

You will receive maximum tax deductions for your gift. Most funds are created as permanent endowments to ensure that your charitable interests will be carried out in the future as well as in the present.

The minimum amount for establishing a new fund will normally be $10,000-$25,000.
