2017 Grants

  • Boothbay Sea and Science Center, to fund Exploring the Science of Seaweed Farming, a 10-month classroom and seaside STEM program for grades 4, 5, and 6 at local public schools: $2,880
  • Lincoln Academy, for a garden and greenhouse program that will provide hands-on learning about sustainable agriculture: $5,000
  • Lincoln County Dental, to improve access to treatment for dental pain and infection and replacement dentures (if needed) for people in recovery from opiate addiction: $5,000
  • Medomak Valley Land Trust, to work with a facilitator to explore a merger with neighboring land trusts to have a larger conservation impact: $2,600
  • Midcoast Conservancy, to build community capacity to provide high-quality outdoor recreation and resources for youth and adults in the Midcoast region on conserved lands and waterways: $2,500
  • Twin Villages Foodbank Farm, to grow, distribute, and store nutrient-dense fresh food using organic practices for low-income residents of Lincoln County: $2,000
  • Waldo Theatre, to provide capacity building and training in sustainable fundraising, historic preservation, and arts-focused economic development for its board and other community organizations: $5,000


  • Boothbay Region Health & Wellness Foundation, to improve parenting skills of parents and grandparents who take care of young children: $2,500
  • Boothbay Sea and Science Center, to foster a deeper understanding of the aquaculture industry and careers in the industry through a summer youth program: $3,000
  • Coastal Kids Preschool, to hire a development coordinator: $6,500
  • Twin Villages Foodbank Farm, to support the farm, digging in to feed its neighbors: $3,000
