  • Maine Humanities Council, to refine the model for a facilitated reading and discussion program for end-of-life caregivers: $4,679
  • Southern Maine Agency on Aging, for support of Respecting Choices®, a program that helps people create advance directives: $5,000
  • VNA Home Health Hospice, to add complementary therapies to the hospice program: $3,000

  • The Center for Grieving Children, to support outreach and marketing in York County to increase awareness of grief support services: $5,300
  • Hospice of Southern Maine, for the 2016 Thresholds Conference: End of Life Conversations: $5,000
  • Maine Hospice Council, Inc. , to support the statewide Hospice Retreat: $3,000
  • Maine Access Immigrant Network, for the Healthy You Community Support program: $4,999

2015 Grants

  • Camp Sunshine at Sebago Lake, Inc., to support Warmth in Moments of Sorrow: the provision of tools to support families of children whose cancer has relapsed or whose children have died : $2,500
  • The Center for Grieving Children, to continue raising awareness of the bereavement programming in York County, help more families from York County access grief support services, and recruit volunteers necessary to provide support services: $4,000
  • Harbour Singers, support for hosting a statewide conference on end-of-life care with singing to include existing groups and other organizations that may wish to sponsor a new group: $2,350
  • Maine Hospice Council, Inc., for underwriting for 2015/2016 Maine Hospice Council Educational Programming: $1,800
