Montgomery Scholarship Benefits
Franklin County Students

Students in Franklin County are eligible to apply for the Hugh and Elizabeth Montgomery Scholarship at the Maine Community Foundation. Now in its second year, this renewable scholarship supports non-traditional (beyond high school age) students returning to school to continue their education.

Residents of Phillips, Maine, Hugh and Elizabeth (Betty) Montgomery believed in accessible, affordable post-secondary education. This fund was established through a bequest of Mrs. Montgomery.

The next deadline for Montgomery Scholarship applications is in January 2009.The deadline is set by the committee each fall, and the 2009 deadline will be announced in October 2008.

The Maine Community Foundation is partnering with the Franklin County Community College Network to make this scholarship available to eligible students.
